I chose these walker glides because of their durability and the way they attach to any walker. They are screwed in for a permanent placement and have a tension grip to fit any diameter walker tubing, from 1 to 1 1/8 inch. These long-lasting high density plastic glides allow your walker to move smoothly over uneven surfaces and thresholds without lifting it up.
Universal Walker Glides from Penco have taken easy mobility to the next level. Made of durable, high-density resin, these glides allow walkers to move smoothly over a variety of surfaces, indoors and outdoors, without any snagging or catching. They effortlessly glide across carpets, thresholds and sidewalks, preventing shoulder and back pains from lifting the walker.
These walker skis have an elevated front edge, which make them easy to maneuver. The large surface area keeps in constant contact with the ground, making your mobility device safe and easy to use. Thick and durable, these ski glides last longer than standard rubber tips and tennis balls. Keep back ups in your car or bag in case you need a replacement several months later!
Not only are these walker glides easy to use, they're also easy to install. They fit onto any 1" or 1-1/8" outer diameter walker tubing. The Penco walker glides use a self-fitting mechanism and stainless steel tightening bolt to hold them in place. Gone are the days of hitting a big bump and losing a ski, or pushing painfully to insert new glides onto bent framing! You will need a Philips screwdriver for installation.
These walker glides offer smooth transitions from tile to carpet and carpet to tile. While tennis balls are more difficult to get over thresholds and uneven surfaces, these ski glides move seamlessly over most surfaces. These glides move pretty quickly on tile and wood floors, so individuals who need additional balance support should be careful.

These work better than tennis balls or anything else I've tried. Easy to install, no drag, less catching and fine in snow. Also very durable.
Excellent price, too.
