Details

The Millennial In-Motion Forearm Crutches are designed for long term users. These lightweight and durable crutches have anatomically- and ergonomically-designed handles. They keep wrists and hands in a natural position, decreasing the pressure on wrists. The proper downward angle allows for blood flow and nerve conduction, reducing the chances of carpal tunnel syndrome and wrist tendonitis. Spring-assisted shock absorption helps absorb the constant impacts and reduces stress to the joints and muscles. The crutches return energy positively, helping the user move forward.

The uniquely-designed V shape of the cuff allows for easy entrance and firm hold for hands-free use. The fully molded one-piece arm cuffs eliminate rivets and external hinges that can pinch or break. Easy-to-replace forearm cuffs make fitting a breeze: you can switch out the cuff in one easy step. Replacement cuffs are available in 9" and 12" circumference.

With tips that last 35% longer than traditional tips and the strut made from aircraft grade aluminum, these crutches are made to last. New and improved articulating tips ensure you are making sufficient contact with the ground, regardless of angle. Even at extreme angles, the tip remains in secure contact with the ground, decreasing the chances for slipping and increasing your security.

I have found these to be very comfortable and like the spring action that reduces stress on arms and shoulders.

  • 5 stars, Great product
By Sandy from Ohio on 2012-04-09
I use crutches intermittently because of stiffness in my low back and leg pain from spinal stenosis. I ordered these crutches because they address my two biggest concerns with other forearm crutches: wrist strain and shoulder jarring. The spring loaded tips reduce shock stress on my shoulders and the ergonomic grips reduce strain on my wrists. Great product!

  • 4 stars, We will buy these crutches again
By Tara from Snowflake, AZ on 2012-03-23
Pros: LR Hand Piece, Shock Absorbing Tip, Cost
    Cons: Crutch Tips
My son has spina bifida. Crutches are a part of his everyday life. Before he started using the In-Motion forearm crutch he had constant shoulder pain. These crutches have all but eliminated the pain. Before using these crutches he had painful calluses in the palms of his hands. He doesn't have calluses anymore! My only issue is finding crutch tips that fit. When you use crutches on a daily basis crutch tips wear out quickly. I'd love to be able to find/buy crutch tips more easily. Overall...these crutches are GREAT!

  • 4 stars, Great product and excellent price!
By Dee from Marshall, MI on 2011-12-21
    Pros: Flex ends
Cons: L and R not marked clear
Best Uses: Rough or smooth ground
Flexible ends make these much easier and safer than ordinary crutches. Easy to use on rough or smooth surfaces. Excellent buy! Only complaint is wish they would have marked the left and right more clearly, maybe with another color to stand out.

  • 5 stars, Awesome product, solid company backing
By Mike the picture guy from Virginia Beach, VA on 2011-01-11
Pros: Easy on joints, Relieves wrist pain
Cons: Slightly heavy, Not good in sand
Best Uses: Any purpose, Walking, Travel
I use these crutches as my primary, everyday mode of transportation. I used a set of silver "Hospital" grade forearm crutches before these, and was experiencing a lot of wrist pain and numbness which was completely resolved when I started using Millennial Medical forearm crutches. I have a son in Cub Scouts, so obviously I do a lot of chasing in woods, over land, etc. I also am a very active amateur photographer, and these crutches allow me to get where I need to go and I am free to shoot when I get there; because the cuffs keep them attached to my arms, I never have to worry about them dropping or falling while I take my pictures. I have been on these crutches for a couple of years, the few times I had problems the manufacturer promptly sent me replacement parts and once a complete new set of crutches! They stand behind their product. They are also perfect for air travel, once at your seat, just adjust them down as far as they go and fit them in the overhead compartment.

  • 5 stars, These are the ones to get!
By Violist from York, PA on 2010-12-10
Pros: Safe, Durable, Lightweight, Stores easily in car, Easy to adjust, Well constructed, Hangs off tablecounter, Great Design
    Cons: none
Best Uses: Indoors, Wet Surfaces, Anywhere, Outdoors, Uneven surfaces
I am a professional musician who ambulates mostly with forearm crutches, and my career was in jeopardy from damage to my upper body joints from this. However, these "in motion" forearm crutches put your arms and hands in neutral positions which minimize the effect of carrying your body weight. The handgrips are soft enough to cushion, but smooth and easily cleanable, and are molded and angled for a perfect positioning of the hand. The cuffs are made of composite material which flexes, allowing easy egress and yet can be effortlessly hung from the arm; and there are no finger-crushing "catch points" in the swivel mechanism. The spring-loaded mechanism in the base all but eliminates the jarring effect of "planting" a crutch to avoid a fall, and greatly aids in negotiating stairs. The rubber tip is smaller than most, but its articulated design helps to grab well for stability. These are lighter in weight than any other forearm crutches I have used, so they take less energy. For convenience, the handles allow hanging from a table or counter edge. Excellent design is an understatement! The finish is very pretty (mine are black) and so far has held up well to bumps and drops. I cannot recommend these highly enough to the long-term user, and also short-term even though they cost a bit more: can you put a price on treating your body right?
