FAQs

Questions on PARI LC Plus Reusable Nebulizer Set

  • From Deepa at 9/8/10 1:04 PM
    • Will the PARI LC Plus Reusable Nebulizer Set work with Pari Ultra Nebulizer?

What is the difference between LC Plus, LC Sprint and LC Star?
    • The PARI LC Plus will work with ALL PARI Nebulizers, including the PARI Ultra. The difference between the LC Plus, LC Sprint, and LC Star nebulizers are minor, but they differ in the micron size of the medication, the treatment time, and the design of the top. The newest nebulizer set is the PARI LC Sprint nebulizer that has the fastest treatment time and a flip top. The PARI LC Plus nebulizer is the nebulizer that is used to test most inhaled medication. It is the middle range micron size and middle length treatment. The LC Star has the smallest particle size but the longest treatment time. Both the LC Star and LC Plus have screw on tops. For most treatments, either the LC Sprint or the LC Plus are indicated.

Additional Info

Jet Nebulization Technology

PARI LC® Reusable Nebulizers feature the first ever breath-enhanced jet nebulizer design to efficiently deliver inhalation medicine to your lungs.

How It Works:

1Air from the compressor breaks the liquid medication into small breathable particles which form a mist (aerosol).

2 As you breathe in – the valve at the top opens – letting air in and speeding up the mist generation.

3 When you breathe out, the top valve closes, slowing down the mist and the mouthpiece flap opens letting your breath out.

Inspiration/Expiration Illustrations

When breathing in, the inspiratory valve at the top of the nebulizer opens to allow entrained air to increase the flow of medication to the lungs.
When breathing out, the inspiratory valve closes, reducing medication production and thus reducing medication waste. The expiratory valve also opens, directing the breath away from the patients face.
