The Nimbo Lightweight Posterior Posture Walker from Drive Medical is designed to help individuals develop a natural gait pattern and maintain proper posture. Many physical therapists prefer posterior (reverse) walkers for children with cerebral palsy and other neurological, orthopedic, and developmental disorders. This walker is available in four sizes, from Tyke to Young Adult. All sizes, excluding Tyke, can also be used in the anterior position.
The walker's sturdy aluminum frame is brightly colored and appealing. Back and lateral pads with a latching belt hold the user securely in the center of the frame. The Nimbo Walker comes with latex-free handgrips with flanged ends for maximum comfort. The handlebar adjusts in height to ensure the proper fit:
Each wheel on this posture walker can be independently adjusted. The front wheels can swivel for enhanced maneuverability and ease of turning, or be locked into a fixed position. The unidirectional rear wheels with aluminum ratchet and pin mechanism will not allow the walker to slide backwards accidentally, but this can be disengaged to allow for forward and reverse mobility. All four 5" wheels are skid-resistant and made from soft rubber to adhere to any surface. When not in use, simply fold up the walker for transport.
